Music

Our music ministry at Eden Community Church seeks to inspire people through music to love and worship God more whole-heartedly and passionately with our lives, so that as a church we can effectively reach out to others.

“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it.” (Romans 12:1-2, The Message)

As a Music Ministry we are committed to inspiring people through music to worship God more wholeheartedly and passionately with every part of our lives. Music is often one of the primary ways in which our society communicates, so therefore becomes a powerful way to inspire and uplift others, to declare and remember our faith, and to worship and glorify God. Worship is not just something we do in terms of specific actions or rituals, nor is it limited to one aspect of our lives. Singing, praying, music, reading scripture, sermons – these are all part of worship, but first and foremost, it is a lifestyle of relating to God. It is our human response to God’s revelation of Himself. Worship involves all that we are —our attitudes, emotions, actions, mind and will. In worship we recognise and adore God, revealed in the person of Jesus Christ, and seek by the power of His Spirit to give God the glory, honour, praise, submission and service which He deserves. So let’s worship!
