Pastor’s Piece

Ever had one of those days when you just think things are going to go well – and they do?  Or when you think they won’t – and they don’t?  Sometimes called The Law of Expectation, it’s the principle that we often get what we expect.

So here’s the question: what do you expect will happen on Sunday morning?  Do you expect to meet God and be challenged, encouraged or renewed?  Or do you expect, well, same old, same old?  Because what you expect will often be what you experience!

One of the by-products of high expectations is an increased desire to pray.  Because belief that God will work and asking God to work go hand in hand.  So, can I ask you to pray for our service leaders, preachers, musicians and all those who serve on Sunday mornings – that God will help them serve in a spirit of joy and dependence on Him?  We would appreciate that so much!

And let’s remember the words of the old chorus: “We’re together again,  just praising the LORD.  We’re together again in one accord.  Something good is going to happen, something good is in store.  We’re together again just praising the LORD!”
